WARNING OCCULT IMPURTIES AHEAD: Installation and performance (curated by Kevin Quigley)

will slowly unveil itself as a series of performance works // some more leaning towards experiments in sound / some more performative in nature all ‘super-natural’ and cloaked in midnight……

see what lurks in the occult basement!

MYSTERIUM

Formed in November 2011 they have been blackened the psychic sound spectrum with a new form of perfumed metal-noise balancing a fine potion of metal, vibrating electronic and monastic chants. Floating slowly between free noise improvisational tones and ghostly atmospherics. Mysterium are soaked in the combined inspiration of the heavy deep drones of Florida death metal and spiking soft tones works of Gyori Ligeti. Kevin Quigley and Martin Kasperzak are MYSTERIUM

YUMI HARA CAWKWELL + GUY HARRIES

http://vimeo.com/26565826
Sound artists Yumi Hara Cawkwell and Guy Harries collaborate as a duo, creating ‘sound rituals’ using voices, found objects and electronic sound. Inspired by fire rituals, psychoanalysis, futuristic shamanism, and post-apocalyptic scenarios the duo have developed a mesmerising language of sound, movement and narrative.

CHRISTOS FANARAS

started performing in the London underground music scene as Jack Shirt in 2006. Since then he has recorded and self released 5 solo CDR albums and collaborated with a variety of artists and musicians. His work ranges from minimalist/drone to psych pop, with elements of krautrock and contemporary classical music. Comparisons have included Popol Vuh, Philip Glass, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Suicide, Goblin and the organ works of Olivier Messiaen.

LAUGHING STOCK

is Jonny martin bassist in TEMPER TEMPER side / solo experimental project; where is taking improvised bass /sounds to its limit > think < acid mothers temple vs Ashra Temple and you will have conjured up in your mind a floating phasing and rumbling theatrical bass sound of LAUGHINGSTOCK.

GOLDEN HERRON + WAND
mystic duo to create psycho-magic musical folics, blissed out fun that will take you on a journey via millie vanillie land to jodersawky mountain to lynch’s back alley and finish up in a atlantanterian lake!

”Thought is the life of intelligence, words show the creative force of thought, while actions are the last effort of words, and the desirable couplement of words.
Words have been spoken, thought has been translated into action; by the act of creating, speech has taken place”
ELIPHAS LEVI (1896)
